As construction continues on phase two of the Kresge Renewal project, Services for Transfer & Re-entry Students (STARS) recently relocated to the Bay Tree Building in Quarry Plaza. Open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. STARS is now located on the second floor of the Bay Tree Bookstore.

Part of the Division of Student Affairs and Success, the STARS mission is to advance social mobility for transfer, re-entry and independent students by providing transformative higher education experiences. STARS guides students who disproportionately enter higher education through community colleges including those who have experiences with: transfering, returning to school at an older age, military, being parents, foster care, homelessness, incarceration, or family trauma. STARS offers culturally relevant advising and mentorship programs, and actively remove systemic barriers in order to create access, cultivate belonging, motivate persistence, and nurture wellness.
