An infamous Perth tree lopper, with a long history of questionable business practices, has rebranded himself as a wellness guru who offers people the secret to success through breathing practices.

Sean Robert Weinthal, aka Sean Peters, of Wanneroo, has twice been convicted and has had a long history of consumer law indiscretions that date back to 2006.

The tree lopper was handed more than $20,000 in fines and costs in April 2020 for breaching consumer laws. Now, the notorious arborist has relaunched himself as a health and wellness ambassador who spruiks crypto seminars and breathing workshops. In his Instagram bio, he claims to be a ‘Breath Masters’ ambassador. He offers a 30-day masterclass in breathing, which claims to be a revolution in wellness and healing. The 30-day breathing course sets you back $894.

He also now claims to be a “crypto expert and biohacking genius”.

“Crypto is something I’ve been coaching and advising, along with business and life mentorships,” he writes in one post.“The impact I’ve had short and long term, depending on how committed, disciplined you’ve been, is something I truly love to see.”

Within the post, Mr Weithal claims to be able to help listeners who subscribe to him make gains within the 6-7 figure range a day.

“Well it’s not the first time I’ve experienced these kinds of gains/profits and to the hundreds of souls I’ve guided,” he writes.

The ex-tree lopper previously operated under multiple business names including West Coast Trees and AMAC Tree Services, Metropolitan Tree Services, and Experienced Tree Service to name a few.

Complaints about him have included allegations of intimidating behaviour towards clients, starting work without formal acceptance of the quote and collecting the full amount quoted before work begins.

He is also accused of unsatisfactory work and damage to property and gardens.

The Commissioner for Consumer Protection Gary Newcombe late last year said Mr Weinthal was a serial pest following yet another public warning over the tree loppers’ behaviour.

“We have been dealing with this rogue tree lopper for almost ten years now, on numerous occasions issuing warnings and initiating legal action, including convictions with heavy fines, yet Mr Weinthal continues with his bullying and unsatisfactory behaviour,” Mr Newcombe said.
