The role:
Bolton City Council is looking for two NPTC qualified Tree Surgeons to join a small in-house team to perform all aspects of tree care work on community properties in the Borough.
This includes trees on highways, in parks and in the council’s extensive wooded areas. The team uses a high platform whenever possible, but you’ll also need to climb and perform aerial work. All equipment and protective clothing are available.
They also benefit from a standby allowance and regular overtime to be able to respond to tree issues outside of business hours.
About you:
You are a person with a passion for the environment and take an active role in the protection and management of the district’s trees.
Flexible and reliable, they have a thorough, proven knowledge of all aspects of tree work: on the ground and in the air. You are self-motivated and a strong teamwork ethic is essential. Must have a positive attitude towards health and safety.
