The City of Fort Collins Streets Department continues road work on Mason Street.
This work, which began on Monday, Sept. 11, is occurring in both directions of Mason St. between Maple St. and University Ave. Block-by-block closures of Mason St. will be in effect and detours will be posted.
Construction on Mason St. between Mountain Ave. to Mulberry St. is nearing completion and it is anticipated that the area will be reopened the week of Oct. 15. Road closures and construction continue on Mason St. from Mulberry St. to Laurel St. This closure is anticipated to last through the end of October, weather permitting.
Construction on Mason St. between Mountain Ave. to Maple St. is going to begin Oct. 18. It is anticipated that closures along this area will have minimal impacts to East and West traffic along Mountain Ave., Laporte Ave., and Maple St. This is the last phase of the project and it is anticipated to last into the beginning of Nov, weather permitting.
Transfort services along the route, including MAX and FLEX, will continue to be rerouted off Mason Street for the duration of the project. For more information, visit www.ridetransfort.com.
Minor utility and tree trimming maintenance will happen during this work to take advantage of project-related street closures.

Work Zone Information
Typical working hours are weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., however work may occur outside these times. Weekend work may be required to expedite the project. Alternate routes are suggested to avoid the construction zones.
Drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists should use caution in the work zone.
