WEST GREENWICH, Rhode Island (WPRI) – Responders are working to put out a fire that broke out at Verrier Tree Services in West Greenwich on Wednesday morning.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene of the accident on Nooseneck Hill Road around 6:30 a.m. found smoke billowing into the sky.
West Greenwich Police Chief James Tiernan told 12 News the smoke was coming from a kiln where the dry firewood is stored.
He said the contents somehow burned and started a fire. It is contained and has not spread to surrounding buildings.
No injuries were reported.
