Fallen tree between Faversham and Canterbury East disrupts Southeastern services to Dover Priory

A fallen tree caused disruption to rail traffic this afternoon.

Southeastern employees are at the tracks between Faversham and Canterbury East where the tree is blocking the line.

The problem is disrupting traffic between Faversham and Dover Priory.

Replacement buses will be arranged or passengers can travel via Canterbury West to complete their journey.

Southeastern recently tweeted, “Work is progressing well and the tree is expected to be removed from the line shortly.”

“The 1.27pm train from Faversham will be the first train to depart from Faversham towards Dover Priory, with a delayed departure from Faversham while the line is reopened.”
