- Congratulations to Valley Regional High School tennis player Natalie Novak, who switched her position from a doubles player to No. 3 in singles this season. As luck would have it, Valley’s top singles player earlier in the season was injured and unable to return to the court, pushing Natalie up to 2nd place. She accepted the challenge, reportedly posting an 8-2 record in her new individual position and the Warriors team went 11-3 to qualify for the Class M State tournament. Additionally, Natalie made the Second Team All-Shoreline for the second year in a row. (Zip06.com)
- Eversource has informed the City of Essex that further tree felling will begin in the area in July. If you have any questions about the works, or if you are a homeowner wishing to object to or amend any proposed tree work, you must write to the Essex Tree Warden and Eversource.
