Randolph High’s Nate Gomes-Correia has been the Storm Works Roofing & Restoration High School Football Offensive Player of the Week.
The junior collected over 10,000 votes (40.1%) to earn the honor. Gomes ran 19 times for 221 yards and two touchdowns in a 32-21 loss to Carver.
And this week’s candidates are…
Will St. Pierre, Sr., Hingham: St. Pierre scored three TDs in a 42-14 win over Silver Lake. He ran for 110 yards and a pair of TDs and also returned a kickoff 68 yards for a score.
Liam Appleton, Sr., Cohasset: The Skipper turned nine offensive touches into 181 yards and three TDs in a 42-0 win over Mashpee. He ran 4 times for 81 yards and a pair of TDs (41 and 20 yards). He finished with five catches for 100 yards with a 25-yard TD. He also chipped in an interception on defense.
Davin True, Jr., Marshfield: True had 170 yards and four TD runs (7, 42, 6 and 1) in a 49-28 win over Plymouth North.
Nate Gomes-Correia, Jr., Randolph: In a 36-26 win over Brighton, Gomes-Correia ran for five TDs. That victory makes the Blue Devils eligible for the playoffs.
Ty Holmes, Soph., West Bridgewater: Holmes ran 14 times for 190 yards in a 28-14 win over Blue Hills. He also had a receiving TD in the win.
Caiden Montas, Sr., Blue Hills: Montas ran for 188 yards and a TD in a 28-14 loss to West Bridgewater.
DJ DeCoste, Jr., South Shore Tech: DeCoste ran for 157 yards and two TDs in a 43-28 win over Wareham.
Michael Reilly, Jr., Abington: Reilly ran for a pair of TDs and threw a 34-yard TD pass (to Connor Pease) in a 34-13 win over East Bridgewater.
Jordan Cioffi, Sr., Holbrook/Avon: In a 32-22 win over Cape Cod Tech, Cioffi ran 40 times for 236 yards and a pair of TDs.
Mike Galligan, Jr., North Quincy: In a 42-28 loss to Scituate, Galligan threw for 211 yards and three TDs. That broke the single-season program record for passing TDs (12) and also made him the program’s all-time leader in career passing TDs (18).
Trevor Jones, Jr., Duxbury: Jones ran for two scores and threw for two more in a 35-7 win over Whitman-Hanson.
Cam Antoniuk + Jason Crispin, Srs., Ashland: Antoniuk (2 TDs – 10 and 3 yards) and Crispin (5-yard TD) combined for over 350 yards rushing as the offensive line stole the show for the Clockers (4-3) in a 21-6 win over Medfield.
Jake Attaway + Logan Luz, Jrs., Hudson: Attaway rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns as the host Hawks (5-2, 2-1 Mid-Wach C) defeated North Middlesex, 40-21. He also completed 9 of 14 passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns, one to Owen Nanartowich (7 yards) and the other to Garrett Giorgio (28 yards). Luz ran for 68 yards and two TDs (9 and 28 yards) on 11 carries for the Hawks.
Michael Caulfield, Soph., + Max Dresens, Jr., + Mekhi Walker, Sr., Wayland: Dresens ran for 221 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries and made 5.5 tackles with an interception, powering the host Warriors (5-2, 2-0 DCLM) to a 28-14, Dual County League Middle win over Bedford. Caulfield ran for 119 yards and two TDs on 17 carries and senior Mekhi Walker caught four passes for 103 yards and a TD.
Adam Fransen, Jr., Blackstone Valley Tech: Fransen (143 yards rushing) scored two first-quarter touchdowns (60 and 7 yards) and later added an interception to propel the Beavers (4-2, 2-0) to a 30-6, Colonial Athletic League victory over Assabet.
Tavin Hirsch, Sr., + Dylan Gallo, Jr., Maynard/AMSA: Hirsh ran for two touchdowns, including one from 90 yards, and caught a TD pass to lead the visiting Tigers (6-1) past Oakmont, 35-0. Gallo threw touchdown passes to Hirsh and Kalvin Gomez.
Cody Howard, Sr., Franklin: Howard scored two touchdowns and the defense held a second-half shutout as the Panthers (5-2, 3-0 Hockomock Kelley-Rex) earned a gritty league win at Attleboro, 21-14.
Corey Perkins, Sr., Bellingham: Perkins ran for 158 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries as the host Blackhawks (4-3, 3-0 TVL Small) blanked league foe Millis, 35-0.
Camden Petralia, Sr., Westborough: Petralia ran 15 times for 191 yards and three touchdowns as the host Rangers (6-1) defeated Groton-Dunstable, 49-12.
Max Poirier, Sr., Wellesley: Poirier totaled 204 yards and had nine tackles (including a sack) to lead the Raiders (4-3) to their fourth consecutive victory, a 17-10 decision over rival Natick (4-3).
Liam Snyder, Jr., Algonquin: Snyder rushed for a 6-yard score in the first quarter and followed with a 22-yard TD pass to Brendan Staunton in the second as the visiting Titans got their first win with a 22-11 triumph over Wachusett.
Cooper Tarantino + Rayhan Nsereko, Srs., Lincoln-Sudbury: The quarterback Tarantino ran the ball 10 times for 70 yards and three touchdowns as the visiting Warriors (6-1, 2-0 DCL Large) earned a 29-20, Dual County League Large win at Concord-Carlisle. The running back Nsereko added 96 yards on 13 carries in the win.
