With the seventh week of high school football in the books, Rich Garven takes a look at some of the top performances for readers to vote on to decide the StormWorks Roofing & Restoration football player of the week.

Congratulations to Leicester’s Logan Potter, who took home the top spot in last week’s poll with 31,071 votes (49.8 percent) of over 62,000 votes cast. Potter, who shined while helping the Wolverines to their first win last week after losing his mother to cancer, topped David Prouty’s Cameron Goodrich (18,206 votes) for the honor.

Players of the Week honorees are compiled from game reports and statistics called in by each school or from in-person, game-day reporting by a T&G sportswriter.

Ransford Adri, South

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound junior quarterback made a series of explosive plays as the Colonels defeated Burncoat, 36-12, to move to 5-2. Adri rushed for 158 yards and three touchdowns (69, 2, 45 yards) on 28 carries and ran for two conversions and completed 6 of 11 passes for 70 yards and a TD (20 yards).

Jake Attaway, Hudson

The 6-foot, 185-pound junior quarterback once again made plays with his arm and his legs as the Hawks improved to 5-2 with a 40-21 win over North Middlesex. Attaway rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries and completed 11 of 15 passes for 171 yards and two scoring strikes.

Matt Chatterton, Bay Path

The junior linebacker was a ballhawk as the Minutemen rolled to a 50-8 win over Abby Kelley to raise their record to 6-1. Chatterton made a team-high 11 tackles to give him 71 on the season to rank among the leaders in Central Mass.

Adam Fransen, Valley Tech

The 5-foot-6, 150-pound senior running back/defensive back made tangible contributions on offense and defense as the Beavers defeated Assabet Valley, 30-6, to climb to 4-2. Fransen rushed for 143 yards and two first-quarter touchdowns on 12 carries and picked off a pass for the second straight season.

Robert Fisher, Oxford

The senior running back made himself at home in the end zone as the Pirates pulled away from Bartlett for a 53-28 win to move to 4-3. Fisher rushed for 124 yards and four touchdowns – three in the first half – on 11 carries, scoring on runs of 22, 2, 6, and 10 yards.

Bryce Goulet, Tyngsborough

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound senior quarterback continued his dynamic, dual-threat ways as the Tigers topped Clinton, 46-44, to improve to 5-2. Goulet rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns (1, 5, 40 yards) on 24 carries and was 9 of 12 passing for 191 yards and three TDs (24, 41, 59 yards).

Joshua Harrison, Shepherd Hill

The senior running back/defensive back was a two-way standout as the Rams topped Marlborough, 40-16, to raise their record to 5-2 with their third straight victory. Harrison rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns (5, 63 yards) on 11 carries and closed out the scoring by returning a fumble for a TD.

Tavin Hirsch, Maynard

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound senior showcased his versatility as the Tigers topped Oakmont, 35-0, to improve to 6-1. Hirsch rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns (3, 90 yards) on seven carries, caught three passes for 51 yards and a TD (31 yards) and made five tackles on defense.

Kellen LaChapelle, Uxbridge

The 5-foot-7, 160-pound senior quarterback had a hand in three fourth-quarter touchdowns as the Spartans secured a 33-14 win over Millbury, 33-14, to climb to 7-0. LaChapelle rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns (1, 39 yards) on 16 carries and was 12 of 20 passing for 191 yards and a TD (21 yards).

Aidan McLaughlin, Nashoba

The 5-foot-7, 160-pound senior running back sparkled on offense as the Wolves rallied to defeat Fitchburg, 19-12, to break into the win column. McLaughlin threw a 31-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter and caught a 13-yard scoring strike in the third for his second career varsity TD.

Joseph Pineyro, Narragansett

The senior running back/linebacker was an impact player on both sides of the ball as the Warriors defeated Quabbin, 27-6, to improve to 5-2. Pineyro rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries and made 10 tackles to boost his team-high total to 56.

Liam Snyder, Algonquin

The senior quarterback made plays on the ground and through the air as the Titans topped Wachusett, 22-11, to break into the win column. Snyder rushed for his second touchdown of the season, from 6 yards out in the first quarter, and tossed a 22-yard scoring strike in the second.
