TEXARKANA, Ark. – At the regular meeting of the Texarkana Arkansas Board of Directors, Don Riddle, production manager for last Friday’s event, the Priscilla Block concert, addressed the Board by thanking all who participated and helped out with the very first concert that took place on the Front Street Stage at the Loading Dock.
Mayor Allen Brown agreed and said that although the ticket sales were not as high as anticipated, the up-and-coming star, Priscilla Block will be broadcasting the city, hopefully bringing revenue to Texarkana.
In other business, the Board unanimously approved the contract with Garland Company and RBT Roofing for a new roof and windows for the Bi-State Detention Center.
Meanwhile, the clean-up of 55 nuisance properties to certify delinquent and collect tax accordingly was approved.
Lastly, the acceptance to dedicate several street right-of-way and public facility improvements was passed.
The adoption of an ordinance to amend a code in aviation was tabled for the next meeting.
The next board meeting is set for Monday, Nov. 20.
