Plumbing Nerds participated in the Junior Achievement Inspire career fair for eighth graders attending schools in Lee and Collier counties to inspire the future workforce of Southwest Florida.
Executives and other employees at Plumbing Nerds spoke to students about their career goals and how the Fort Myers-based company could help them. Plumbing Nerds sponsored the event, which was held at the Alico Arena on the Florida Gulf Coast University campus. Over 10,000 students and 100 companies attended, making it one of the largest career fairs in Southwest Florida history.
JA Inspire was formed to meet the labor needs of our region’s fast-growing industries. The program is interactive and highly engaging, beginning with an eight-hour classroom-based curriculum.
