It’s normally pretty busy this time of year, but this long streak of cold temperatures has got Central Plumbing and Heating extra busy and a backlog of customers in need of service.

Jason Kalai with Central Plumbing and Heating shared, “Definitely been seeing a more consistent surge essentially of heating requests for repairs and things.”

And with how cold it’s been, what’s something that someone can do if they’re afraid their pipes might freeze.

“Running some water. If you have an area, you know thats real prone, in these extended subzero temperatures, you know, just a little pencil stream, would certainly help.”  he said

And if you’re concerned about your heating system, it’s important to keep an eye on it, especially if you have a forced air system.

“More in your on forced air system just things like filters, making sure they’re clean and not robbing some of that air flow.”  He continued

And for people around town, how are they holding up? Are people too cold?

Lyle Martin shared, “Pretty good. We’ve been inside most of the time. We don’t get out in the cold anymore. We’re too old.”

And Thelma Claffey went on to say, “Not really, but I still dress warm. I’ll wear like a vest.”

Central Plumbing and Heating also share that it’s better to set something up with them sooner rather than later, since they’re backed up with service requests.
