Plumbing and heating merchant, City Plumbing has appointed Dominic Sakar as commercial director. Sakar brings over 20 years of experience in product and category management, the last seven of which were within the merchant sector.
As commercial director, Sakar will be instrumental in maintaining strong supplier relationships for the UK’s leading plumbing and heating merchant, with a focus on unlocking the best possible value and benefits for its customers. Sakar also aims to continue the drive forward for new product development and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the commercial team, working closely with sales and trading colleagues.
Sakar and his team will strategically prioritise meeting the ever-changing needs of customers to offer more value and greater efficiency for the cost and time-pressured plumbing and heating market. Sakar also joins City Plumbing at a critical moment for energy efficiency following a rise in the UK-wide Energy Cap at the start of January and the Consultation period for the Future Homes and Buildings Standards live until March 2024.
