Ace Hardware of Oak Brook, Illinois, has acquired a portfolio of home HVAC, plumbing and electrical service businesses from Grove Mountain, an Atlanta-based private equity firm, in an unusual move for a home improvement retailer. reports Franchise Times.
The 12 companies operate under the Unique Indoor Comfort brand, a company headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The Company operates service businesses in Georgia, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania. According to the Franchise Times, Grove Mountain consolidated the formerly independent companies in June 2021 and brought them together under one roof.
