Now in its 50th year, Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric is receiving prestigious awards for best industry practice and as a local family business. The latest is a “Best of” list in the “Best of Colorado 2023” issue of ColoradoBiz Magazine.
Applewood is the “Best Plumbing Repair Service” of the more than 120 companies listed in the issue. Companies are chosen by the magazine’s readers for their outstanding service and reputation. Applewood has been recognized by the magazine as a top service provider in the past.
“We always strive to do our best,” said Josh Ward, owner of Applewood Plumbing Heating & Electric. “When the wider community recognizes these efforts, that’s especially gratifying.”
In the Maintenance section, there were 13 categories covering home services and repairs. Applewood owes a large part of its ranking to its quality workmanship and customer service. The company, which has served more than 300,000 customers, has a 96% on-time delivery rate and a repeat customer base of over 60%, sets the standard in the home repair industry.
The company is also an active advocate for its industry and community. They currently fund trade scholarships at Red Rocks Community College, offer an apprenticeship program with the company, and have donated more than $250,000 to local nonprofits as part of the Caring Community Giveaway.
Applewood is one of the few remaining truly family-run home repair businesses. Applewood was also recently recognized as a Denver Post Top Workplace for the 11th consecutive year.
