MAINTAINING WORKFORCE AVAILABILITY amidst the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic helped Stanley Tree Service Inc. not only survive the global crisis but blossomed, growing its revenue by 49.6% in 2022 compared with 2020.

“[The pandemic] was definitely some adjustment. We made sure we were doing our best to follow regulations and keep our workforce intact,” said Vice President of Finance and Administration Stephanie Clift. “There were opportunities where we were able to go in and respond [when other companies could not]. We were staying really hungry.”

The Smithfield-based, employee-owned company offers residential and commercial tree services, including trimming, removal, planting and plant health care. It also provides service to utility customers in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

With 250 employees, the company brought in $42.8 million in revenue last year.

“We make a great effort to make sure we react quickly, so we can efficiently give customers the services they require,” Clift said.
