Residents needing tree and debris removal asked to register for volunteer services

Lexington Emergency Management wants to hear from residents who have exhausted their ability to clear storm debris from private property. This includes the elderly, those with vulnerable health conditions and those with physical or developmental disabilities. This volunteer service extends to people who have no other means of debris removal.

Emergency management is working with volunteer agencies who POSSIBLY can send rubble, bush and tree clearing workers to Lexington for a number of workdays. While nothing is currently planned, we would like to start the registration process to demonstrate the need.

Once enrolled, the volunteer agency will determine if they can assign work teams to Lexington to meet debris removal needs. This applies to Fayette County residents ONLY.

To register, please call LexCall at 859-425-2255, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

Preparedness information is also available through the Lexington Emergency Management Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
