Rail services between Stirling and Alloa have been brought to a halt after a train struck a tree which was caught in the overhead wires.
Cables and poles used to electrically power trains were damaged in the incident, which was first reported at around 7.26am on Monday.
Engineers from Network Rail said three spans of wire and a number of registration arms were damaged and require replacement.
They shared images of the damage to social media showing the usually-taut wires draped across the carriages of a train.

The complex task is expected to leave commuters without any train services to Alloa until around 8pm on Monday.
ScotRail confirmed it is running hourly replacement coaches between Alloa and Stirling, from Stirling bus station stance 1.
Trains via Stirling, heading to and from Glasgow Queen Street station may also be subject to delays or alterations.
