Several Lone Tree American Legion services are scheduled for Monday to commemorate Memorial Day.
The color guard will be present at five different locations, beginning at 7:30 a.m. at Swank Cemetery in Lone Tree. From there they will be at the River Junction Cemetery at 8:00 am, at the Iowa River Bridge in Hills at 8:30 am, and at Nichols Cemetery at 9:00 am: 15 and St. Mary’s Cemetery in Nichols at 9:45 am Clock
Following the color guard presentations, indoor worship services will be held at the Lone Tree American Legion at 10:30 am
Flags will be raised at these locations ahead of Memorial Day on Saturday, May 27 at 6:30 am. The flags will be taken down at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Volunteers to help with this are welcome.
