Dubbed the “Tree-Athlon,” this exciting event aims to promote the importance of tree care and healthy living while bringing the community together in a fun and engaging way.

The Tree Athlon event consists of three main activities – planting trees, climbing and a 5K run. Participants are divided into teams, each responsible for planting a tree, climbing a tree under expert supervision, and completing a 5K run through a specified course. Points are awarded based on the time it takes to complete each activity, and the highest-scoring team is crowned the Tree-Athlon Champion.
According to Lindesy, Tree-Athlon is designed to be an inclusive event that appeals to participants of all ages and fitness levels: “We want Tree-Athlon to be a fun and accessible event for everyone in the community, whether an experienced athlete or a complete novice who Athlon offers an opportunity to challenge yourself, learn about tree care and have a great time with friends and family.”
