The National Senior Citizens Center (NSCC) announced that it has secured 21.6 hectares of farmland as part of its economic tree and vegetable cultivation project, Grandmothers Arise for Good Initiative, to engage women and men ages 60 and older in productive lives.

The director general of the center, Dr. Omokaro said the main goal of the project is to improve the production and production capacities of elderly people in Nigeria through agriculture using the socio-economic entrepreneurial model.
