SumoQuote introduced a new solar quoting system that allows contractors to bid for rooftop and solar systems in one place. SumoQuote Solar is an add-on to any paid subscription and allows roofing contractors to offer solar energy on every job.
This combination offering is available thanks to integrated design partner EagleView TrueDesign. When used in conjunction with EagleView TrueDesign, users can access ready-to-install PV designs. SumoQuote users who add Solar get access to preferred report pricing when using EagleView.
“Roofers are in the incredibly enviable position of being able to work on a home at the ideal time for solar installation,” says Ryan Shantz, CEO of SumoQuote. “With large government rebates and an increasing demand for solar power, this is an extremely lucrative time for a roofer to consider integrating solar power into their business.”

Version 1.0 focused on leveraging its geospatial and image library (covering 94 percent of the North American population) to bridge the gap between solar PV sales and installation with highly accurate shadow analysis and estimated energy production.
Version 2.0 features…
- Suggestion integrations: TrueDesign version 2.0 integrates with popular quoting software including Enerflo, SumoQuote, Subcontractor Hub and Sales Rabbit. More are to come, making it easier for solar companies to create and send accurate quotes to customers.
- Improved color analysis: The new version of TrueDesign includes a tree removal feature that helps users model potential shadow improvements by adjusting the shadow scene.
- 3D Environment/3D Shadowscene: TrueDesign version 2.0 allows users to visualize projects in a realistic 3D environment based on a digital surface model (DSM) derived from high-resolution aerial photographs.
- Tablet support for sales promotion: TrueDesign version 2.0 now includes tablet support, allowing Solar sales representatives to present designs and proposals to customers in the field using a smooth, touch-friendly interface.
- Solar Tile Projects: In addition to traditional solar panels, TrueDesign version 2.0 now allows users to quickly design tile systems with the same level of simplicity and accuracy.
