OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. — Saints Roofing and Construction is back again to give away one free roof to a lucky winner.
After a successful roof giveaway in 2023, company officials say they’re ready to do it all over again.
Last year, hundreds in need of a new roof applied.
“The results of the homeowners, it was extremely emotional,” Saints owner Barry Hicks said.
The company saw how much of a need there was in the area for home renovations and felt a duty to run back the contest annually.
“A lot of people can’t afford, $12,000-$15,000. This is an opportunity to be an answer to their prayer,” Hicks said.
Last year’s winner had a roof replacement that cost more than $20,000.
So, if you live in the Ohio Valley and want to have the next free roof, you can apply for yourself, or for someone else deserving online. The deadline is March 15.
“This was given to us as a platform and God is allowing us, and he wants us to be good stewards over it,” Hicks said. “To do things that’s out of the contrary and do the opposite of what others are doing.”
ABC Supply and GAF Shingles are partners in making this happen as well.
Saints Roofing and Contracting’s goal is to encourage others to do the same.
“Hopefully it is going to open more doors for other contractors to take these steps,” Hicks said.
