BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service on Friday calls for a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Temperatures will be near 91, with Heat index values as high as 106. South southwest winds will be 5 to 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80%, with new rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
