DC Roofing 321preps Athlete of the Week ballot


It is time again to vote for the DC Roofing 321preps Athlete of the Week at 321preps.com and floridatoday.com.

The following athletes were nominated for their performances from Sept. 11-16. You will find the ballot at the bottom of the page. Be sure to refresh if the poll isn’t visible upon first loading. Voting will be open until noon on Thursday this week.

Coaches and athletic directors are invited to nominate athletes each week. E-mail the athlete’s accomplishments for the previous Monday through Saturday to bmccallum@floridatoday.com by 10 a.m. each Monday.

Boys bowling:Brevard County high schools deep again in 2023

Here are this week’s nominees:

Caden Davis, Eau Gallie football

Davis recorded 14 tackles, seven solo and four behind the line of scrimmage. He also intercepted a pass in Friday’s win over Satellite.

Victoria Deese, Cocoa Beach golf

Deese shot a one-over-par round of 36 on Monday in a match against Merritt Island on the Cocoa Beach Country Club Dolphin Course, a personal best.

Keegan Hamilton, Titusville bowling

Hamilton bowled a 300 game in a match at River Lanes on Thursday, leading the Terriers past Cocoa.

Brevard County HS Sports Schedule:Week of Sept. 18-22

Lola Hufnagel, Satellite volleyball

Hufnagel finished with 15 kills, 17 digs and four aces in a five-set win against Melbourne on Tuesday. She also had four aces, seven kills and six digs in a Thursday win over Bayside.

Brayden Hunt, Titusville swimming

Hunt swam the 50-yard freestyle in 22.02 seconds to win the event at the Record Breaker Invitational.

Annabelle Jones, Merritt Island volleyball

Jones recorded 23 assists in a win over Astronaut on Monday and seven aces with 11 assists in a win against Cocoa Beach on Wednesday.

Gavin Kirby, Edgewood swimming

Kirby won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:17.76 in a meet against West Shore on Thursday. He also swam on winning relays in the 200 freestyle and 400 free.

Zack Pillow, Viera football

Pillow caught 10 passes for 114 yards and one touchdown on Friday as the Hawks defeated Melbourne Central Catholic.

Brooke Street, Space Coast bowling

Street bowled a game of 244 on Tuesday at River Lanes in a match against Cocoa Beach. She bowled 199 Wednesday at Merritt Island Shore Lanes against the Mustangs.

Julie Watts, Holy Trinity volleyball

Watts recorded 24 assists, six digs and four aces in a win over Melbourne Central Catholic on Monday

Chloe Williams, Heritage volleyball

Williams recorded 13 assists and 16 digs for the Panthers in a Thursday win over Palm Bay.
