Atlas Roofing Corporation, a leading North American manufacturer of innovative, high-quality building products, will construct an asphalt shingle manufacturing facility at the Lincolnway Industrial Rail & Air Park in Clinton, Iowa. The $224 million project is expected to create 117 jobs.
The new 440,000-square-foot facility, located on 148 acres, will meet the growing demand for higher-quality, more reliable roofing materials such as Atlas shingles with Core4 technology to protect against harmful wind and hail, according to company officials.
“We are very pleased to announce that we will be working with the great people of Clinton, Iowa, to continue our growth in the pitched roof category,” said Ken Farrish, President of Atlas Roofing Corporation. “Clinton will help us meet customer demand with this investment in Midwest capacity, but we’re also excited to bring more than 100 new full-time positions to the region.”
The Board of Directors of the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) has awarded tax benefits and a $750,000 eligible loan under the High Quality Jobs program.
