A Massachusetts plumbing company convinced a federal judge to grant a preliminary injunction against one of its former employees who it says took trade secrets to start his own competing company.
The public interest weighed in favor of granting the injunction, not just because there are federal and state policies offering strong trade secrets protection, but also because the company, G&L Plumbing Inc., works with several public entities like school systems, Judge Margaret R. Guzman said in an opinion for the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts on Wednesday.
