Shockley, 24, moved onto her parents’ newly bought property in Lewes, Delaware, around 80 miles south of Wilmington.

In a viral TikTok video, Shockley showed the internet how she turned the garage into a cozy-looking abode.

She revealed that she started her renovation journey with a trip to Home Depot where she spent a total of $1,500 on materials, according to the MailOnline.

Shockley, her fiancé, brother, uncle, and friends all helped to transform the garage into a home loved on TikTok.

The garage-dweller has shared several videos of her tiny home on TikTok (@itssavshock) and she has amassed over 15,600 followers.

She shared a video of how she renovated parts of the home herself, for example how she plastered the walls.

Shockley said part of the makeover included putting up two walls inside the garage which gave her studio apartment a 250-square-foot living and work area.

The singer shared how her unique home has also been able to help her career.

“It’s a good place to make music and just kind of get inspired and look around and have a nice vibe,” she said.

Shockley’s space has been decorated in a bohemian way with printed rugs, sage green walls, and vintage furniture.

A special and thrifty addition to her space was a stained-glass pane that she had placed in a window frame.

She added that the pane was left behind by the home’s previous owners and the couple repurposed it into their home.

“I was like, cool. Let’s use that somehow in this room,” she said.

The small space has one drawback which is the lack of plumbing so the pair do not have a bathroom or shower inside their home.

They also do not have large appliances like a cooker or oven that most homes typically have.

Shockley shared that she combats this problem by using the bathroom and kitchen inside her parents’ home which is only a few steps away.

“We do have a fridge and a microwave in here but we also use their kitchen whenever we need,” she said.

Shockley went viral on TikTok in 2022 when she made a video on the previous garage that she rented in Fresno, California.

The video shared the misconceptions people could have had about living in a garage and how her space looked far different from a bare-bones garage.
