Fox Point Pool Closed, ‘Plumbing Issues’
Fox Point Municipal Pool will not open in the summer of 2023 due to “irreparable mechanical problems with the plumbing.”
FOX POINT, Wis. – Fox Point Municipal Pool will not open in Summer 2023 due to “irreparable mechanical plumbing issues.”
Village chiefs said that before January, staff at the Ministry of Public Works were already working to fix the problems and restore the pool to working condition. Unfortunately, however, it was found that this was not possible.
Officials said the pool’s aging infrastructure poses a significant challenge, with staff and contracted services unable to locate critical spares. These essential components are no longer manufactured, making the pool beyond repair.
Not only regular guests are affected by the closure, but also people who have purchased a membership and signed up for swimming courses. Refunds are offered. In addition, those who reserved the pool for events will be contacted and refunded accordingly.

“This message is not a message that village staff wish to convey, but the pool is not operational in its current state,” officials said.
