Three Northwest Washington families struggling to make ends meet received ductless heat pumps from Barron Heating AC Electrical & Plumbing.
Barron’s annual Christmas in July giving event is centered around giving and compassion for others, according to CEO and Partner Brad Barron. The company sought recommendations in July for families in need in San Juan, Skagit, Island, Whatcom and Snohomish counties. Three families, including one in Mount Vernon, were selected to receive single-zone Daikin Ductless Heat Pumps installed at their home, a gift that averages more than $10,000 per site.
Matthew, 38, of Mount Vernon is battling Stage 4 esophageal cancer that has moved to his liver. Once the sole provider for his family, Matthew’s illness has left him unable to work. With two young children and no income, there’s understandably no room to upgrade their HVAC system, which is making their home uncomfortable – especially in the summer months. Barron is honored to gift them a Single Daikin Ductless unit for their main living area – a more affordable solution than their current system that will keep Matthew and his family comfortable year-round.
Paola and Jose of Ferndale are parents to two young children – one of whom has asthma. Having lost almost everything they owned in Whatcom County’s flood two years ago, they had to move out for several months until it was cleaned and dried out enough to move back in. With no extra money for anything new, they’ve used recycled materials to rebuild their home. Their heater was blowing a horrible smell through the house, making it virtually unusable. Barron repaired a ductless unit they currently had, plus gifted them two Single Daikin Ductless units for their back rooms to heat and cool the entire home properly.
Ana and her family live in an aging mobile home in Bellingham. Space heaters have become the family’s primary source of heat, as their electric furnace has been too inefficient and expensive to use, leaving them with very cold winters. Barron gifted Ana and her family a Single Daikin Ductless unit for their main living area, which will dramatically improve their comfort for the seasons ahead.
Barron has also donated $100 to its Furnace Fund from the sale of each Daikin comfort system purchased in July and August. Recommendations for recipients of a new furnace are now being accepted through Nov. 30 at https://barronheating.com or Barron showrooms in Burlington and Ferndale. The value of the heat pumps and furnaces with installation is estimated at more than $50,000.
