Roy and Mickey Pearson founded Pearson’s in 1954 as an appliance repair shop. The company gradually expanded into sales, becoming Fairfield’s largest independent home appliance and television company. The Pearsons ran the company for about 20 years until the 1970s when Roy Pearson was ready to hand the reins over to his four sons: Roy, Steve, Dan and Pat.
Pearson’s moved to its low-overhead warehouse in Cordelia near the Interstate 80/Interstate 680 interchange in 1984. Pearson’s purchased Karlstad’s Appliance & TV in Woodland in 1989 (it closed in 2015), Chandler’s Appliance in Vacaville in 1994, and Harbison’s Appliance in Napa in 2015.
