Appliance repair firm upbeat after “transformational” year

North East-headquartered appliance repair company Pacifica has reported a “transformational” year, where revenue and EBITDA climbed. 

For the 2022/23 financial year, the company generated UK sales of £34.5m, up from £30.8m the prior year. 

Gross margin, meanwhile, showcased a significant jump from £6.9m to £10.2m while gross margin percentage edged up to 29.5 per cent from 22.4 per cent. 

The improvements resulted in EBITDA surging from £325,000 to £911,000. 

Undertaking more than 350,000 domestic appliance repairs each year, Pacifica employs a team of about 250 engineers and works with brands including Sony, Howdens and LG along with retailers Argon and Shop Direct. 

Its total headcount stands about 460.  

Pacifica’s financial results have been underlined by a series of key milestones and developments in the past 12 months, including the advancement of its acquisition strategy. 

Three deals completed during the period, with more planned. 

The company also continued to invest in its people at every level of the business, completing more than 11,000 hours of training.
