  • Tree felling services are fully booked
  • All emergency tree work is expected to be completed next week
  • One confirmed death from tornado on Wednesday

Hager has been in the tree felling service for 30 years. His company is fully booked for emergency tree felling.

“We have three teams working non-stop. About 20 to 25 jobs will be completed today,” said Hager.

Tree removal services in Kentucky are swamped with work after two huge storms hit in two weeks.

“We work seven days a week, 16 hours a day.” Said Hager.

According to the National Weather Service, trees can fall in winds of 64 miles per hour. Winds reached over 100 miles per hour in parts of Jefferson County this week.

“We hope to have the emergency work done by next week,” Hager said.

One person in Louisville was killed when a tree fell on him while he was walking his dog during the storm, according to the Jefferson County coroner.

Hager’s goal is to protect his crew and help as many Kentuckians as possible recover from the storm.
