Tree Collapse Between Lower Parel and Prabhadevi Stations Temporarily Disrupts WR Services

A tree about 40 feet (12 meters) tall broke from its trunk, causing its dry branches to fall onto the slow-speed tracks between Western Railway stations Lower Parel and Prabhadevi.

The tree, which was about 8 to 9 meters from the tracks, obstructed rail traffic between Lower Parel and Prabhadevi.

The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. However, authorities reacted quickly to rectify the situation and minimize disruption to commuters.

“Within only 10 minutes, the responsible authorities managed to clear the fallen branches from the tracks. Their quick response and efficient teamwork ensured train service was restored without further delays,” a WR official said. Although the incident resulted in a temporary disruption, there were no reported casualties or casualties

“The rail service between Lower Parel and Prabhadevi is now back to normal and trains are running according to the regular timetable,” he said.
