After a tree fell on a railway line, passengers are adversely affected.

A train is stuck in East Farleigh due to the fallen branch and no train can operate on the Medway Valley Line between Maidstone West and Paddock Wood.

Tickets for these services can be used on the local Arriva and Nu Venture bus routes.

Network Rail response personnel are on site and an ambulance has been dispatched from Maidstone West to the scene of the accident.

The 5.25pm ​​service from St Pancras to Maidstone West will be diverted to Strood to Rochester and will not serve Snodland or Maidstone West.

This comes ahead of the industrial action that is due to take place tomorrow.
