Associated Human Tinton Falls says they first received a call from Brielle police about the trapped osprey. When animal control officers arrived, the organization said they realized time was against them as it was getting dark outside. They say the osprey was found struggling and hanging upside down, and the height was unreachable.

AHS Tinton Falls says they reached out to several tree services with no luck, and Brielle Fire Department doesn’t have a ladder truck. However, the organization says rescue crews with the South Wall Fire Department came to the rescue.

They say the rescue was successful and the osprey was immediately transported to rehab where it will recover from his dislocated wing.
