I-90 to be closed east of Snoqualmie Pass for emergency tree removal

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. — Interstate 90 will be closed briefly Friday afternoon due to emergency tree removal east of Snoqualmie Pass. 

The eastbound closure will start at milepost 63, 11 miles east of Snoqualmie Pass, and westbound at milepost 70 near Easton. The closure will start at 1 p.m. and could take up to two hours due to the nature of the work, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). 

There are “limited services available” at the closure points, according to WSDOT. 

WSDOT sent out a notice about the closure around 11:15 a.m. Friday.
