PITTSBURG, KS – Starting Monday, March 4 and continuing over the next few weeks, Custom Tree Care of Topeka, KS will begin the process removing trees from the right-of-ways of certain intersections throughout the city.

The purpose of this project is to improve safety by removing obstructions that impede drivers’ vision. This tree removal is also a continuation of the city’s “Spruce Up Pittsburg” effort, as well as ongoing efforts to improve traffic conditions.

Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to seek alternate routes when possible, to use caution when traveling in the area of work, and be aware of workers in the work zone.

The City of Pittsburg appreciates the patience of motorists and residents while this work is being performed.  Contact Director of Public Works & Utilities Matt Bacon at (620) 240-5126 with questions regarding this project.
