Bartlett Tree Experts, one of the biggest tree and shrub care companies with operations in 39 states, added a pair of new service locations this month in East Tennessee, including a new office in Chattanooga.

The Stamford, Connecticut-based tree service, which began in 1907, has taken over the former Apex Heating and Air Conditioning warehouse and office on Francis Street just off of Cummings Highway in Lookout Valley. Bartlett also opened a similar location in Knoxville this fall.

With the addition of the new offices in Chattanooga and Knoxville, Bartlett operates four locations in Tennessee and 169 locations across the United States and in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Canada.

Barnett does not operate a local tree nursery, but its crews offer tree and shrub care, pruning, fertilization and soil care, cabling and bracing, insect and disease management, and lightning protection.

The company operates the largest shade tree lab in the world, The Bartlett Research Laboratories, in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has a team of 14 doctorates in fields such as soil science, plant pathology, entomology and horticulture. Bartlett offers species-specific tree and shrub care plans for its customers to ensure optimum growing conditions and health for landscapes.

Bartlett’s arborists provide more than 188 different services to its customers.
