As part of 84 Lumber’s celebrations to commemorate the US Capitol Christmas tree as a symbol of hope, peace and unity, the company will also honor military members with a special stop at the end of the tree’s journey. Beautiful Christmas trees, fresh from local West Virginia growers, are being presented by 84 Lumber as early Christmas gifts to families at Joint Base Andrews, the final stop on the tree’s journey to Washington, DC where it will be unpacked and transported to the US Capitol.
The tree lighting ceremony takes place in late November, with the tree illuminating the West Lawn from dusk until 11:00pm every evening through January 1, 2024.
