FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP Mich. (WLUC) – A series of ribbon cuttings and open houses were held Friday in Franklin Township.

First was the ceremony for Wuebben Construction’s new base of operations facility. The company was originally stationed in Ripley. The building has offices, a pre-fabrication bay for constructing houses and a mechanic bay.

“We do all general contracting, from doing small concrete pours, up to the final touches on a brand-new house,” said Wuebben Construction Project Manager Drew Meyette.

A boat show by Dollar Bay Motor Sports was also held inside.

The facility also has a lease bay, where Peak Metal Roofing Products celebrated its ribbon cutting.

“We manufacture metal roofing and siding,” said Peak Metal Roofing Co-Owner Eddie Jolma. “Pull barn metal, egg panel, they call it, and standing seam. We manufacture it here locally, so anyone who needs metal, we can usually get it made within three days.”

Wuebben Construction’s open house will continue Saturday starting at 11 a.m. and running until 5 p.m.
