Norwell High’s Connor Cronk has been voted the Storm Works Roofing & Restoration High School Football Defensive/Special Teams Player of the Week.
The senior collected over 35,000 votes (58.2%) to earn the honor. Cronk returned a muffed punt return 58 yards for a score in Norwell’s 34-13 win over Middleboro.
And this week’s candidates are…
Jack Nicholas + Gunnar Corey, Hingham: In the Harbormen’s 42-14 win over Silver Lake, both players starred defensively. Nicholas had a pair of interceptions. Corey recovered a fumble and returned it for a TD while also hauling in a 10-yard TD reception.
Jarred Daughtry, Sr., Stoughton: Daughtry returned a fumble for a TD and had a pair of interceptions in a 14-13 win over Sharon.

Shane Wright, Sr., Archbishop Williams: Wright made 12 tackles in a 23-0 loss to Bishop Stang. He ran 17 times for 125 yards on offense.
Logan Zemotel, Sr., Plymouth North: Zemotal returned a kick 75 yards for a TD in a 49-28 loss to Marshfield. He also had a 53-yard receiving TD.
Robbie Peterson, Sr., Carver: Peterson had a pair of interceptions, including one returned for a score, in a 45-0 win over Hull. He also had five catches for 78 yards and a TD.
Dylan Covell, Sr., Middleboro: Covell kicked a 32-yard field goal in a 24-14 win over Rockland.
Willy Robinson, Jr., Scituate: Robinson totaled 205 all-purpose yards and four TDs in a 42-28 win over North Quincy. He returned a kick 84 yards for a TD. On offense, he ran times for 115 yards and three TDs.
Luke Turco, Jr., Brockton: Turco had a pair of interceptions in Brockton’s 12-6 win over New Bedford.

Charlie Barringer + Kevin Abair + Abdulraheem Kareem, Lincoln-Sudbury: The junior Barringer had a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown to start the scoring in the first quarter for L-S (6-1) in a 29-20 win over rival Concord-Carlisle. The sophomore linebacker Abair had a sack and was in on a number of tackles, while the senior defensive tackle Kareem was a stalwart on the defensive line in the win.
Wyatt Callery + Connor Kelley + Donovan Turner, Bellingham: Kelley and Callery had seven tackles apiece and Turner had a fumble recovery as the Blackhawks (4-3) throttled Millis, 35-0.
Jake Kennedy, Sr., Wayland: The safety Kennedy led the Warriors (5-2) defense with six tackles in a 28-14 win over Bedford.
Connor Teague, Jr., + Austin Rodenhiser, Soph., Holliston: Teague did it all in a 49-7 win over Hopkinton, rushing for a 20-yard score, returned the opening kickoff of the second half for an 80-yard touchdown and kicking seven extra points to lead the Panthers (4-3) in the victory over the Hillers (4-3). Also for Holliston, Rodenhiser returned an interception 22 yards for a score.
