(WFRV) – An Appleton-based roofing company made a significant donation to help support breast cancer research after it polled staff on what health concerns are most important to them.

Security-Luebke Roffing, Inc. made a $100,000 donation to the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Network. The company says it polled staff on health concerns most important to them, and breast cancer was a common theme.

Based on that feedback, Security-Luebke Roofing chose to invest its gift to the Froedtert & MCW Clinical Cancer Canter at the Froedtert Hospital campus. This is reportedly to help support breast cancer research.

Vice president of Froedtert & MCW Cancer Services Tina Curtis said they are grateful for Security-Luebke Roofing’s generosity.

Company officials say that they wanted to ‘go larger’ than just northeast Wisconsin.

Security Luebke Roofing has always been intentional about giving back to the community, increasing our impact every year. This year, we wanted to go larger than just Northeast Wisconsin. Once I realized how many of our employees’ lives have been impacted by breast cancer, the choice to focus on that was obvious. Our employees responded; then, the community responded, and we were so excited to raise $100,000 in the October promotion.
