Roofing repairs spark Fort Myers Beach fire

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — Emergency responders from the Fort Myers Beach Fire District were called to 345 Mango Street Friday over a fire.

Firefighters found a fire on the roof, which was quickly extinguished.

According to investigators, the cause was caused by a person carrying out roof repairs with a flashlight.

No one was injured and emergency services remain on site to clean up.
