Herefordshire Council has awarded contracts to a local roofing company to complete projects at two schools in Herefordshire.
Central Roofing and Building Services Ltd was the winning bidder
after a successful tender via the Council’s procurement portal.
The projects will be implemented at Weobley High School (contract cost £472,811) and St Mary’s Primary School, Credenhill (contract cost £522,147).
The work is being carried out to positively improve the condition of the council’s educational building stock and improve the educational experience for
students inside the buildings.
It is also carried out to reduce ongoing maintenance costs for buildings by correcting known deficiencies with high maintenance cost potential and preventing further deterioration.
Weobley High School Decision:
“Awarded a contract to Central Roofing & Building Services Ltd for the roofing work at Weobley High School, Weobley, Herefordshire, following a successful tender on the Council’s procurement portal.
“Approve expenditure of up to £415,545.17 on the roofing work, including a £56,000 contingent liability.
“Approve spending up to £57,265 on internal and external honoraria.
“Responsibility for overseeing the program to be executed by the Capital Senior Project Manager within the spending budget.”
St Mary’s Credenhill Decision:
“Central Roofing & Building Services Ltd was awarded a contract for the ceiling and roofing work at St Mary’s Primary School, Credenhill, Hereford. After a successful tender on the Council’s procurement portal.
“Approve expenditure of up to £464,103 on the ceiling and roofing work including a contingent liability of £42,192.
“Approve expenses of up to £58,044 on professional fees.
“Responsibility for overseeing the program to be executed by the Capital Senior Project Manager within the spending budget.”
