CARTERET COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – The owner of an Eastern Carolina roofing company has been arrested for fraud and deputies are looking for other victims.
Carteret County deputies have charged Christopher Husted with four counts of felony obtaining property by false pretenses.
They say Husted, owner of Coastal Roofing, failed to perform work for customers.
The man has been charged by other law enforcement agencies in other fraud cases, according to a news release.
Deputies say numerous victims have come forward with a combined total of over $100,000 fraudulently obtained.
The 62-year-old Husted was arrested Wednesday and jailed on a $50,000 secured bond.
