Rick Hinkson, President of Eureka Contracting and Roofing, said he enjoys meeting other U.S. Armed Forces veterans throughout his workday.
“I’m meeting veterans,” Hinkson said. “I was just at a job on Friday and this guy said, ‘The reason I hired you was because you’re a veteran.’ He was a member of the army. I was in the Navy.”
His company, 128 Virginia Ave., Eureka, was incorporated in August 2012.
“We cover roofs, siding, gutters, soffits, facades, windows, doors and patios,” he said.
Eureka Contracting and Roofing works for both residential and commercial clients.
Hinkson recommends roof inspections twice a year in the spring and winter, although special situations like hailstorms may require an immediate response.
“With the recent hailstorms, we see that many roofs as well as siding, gutters, roof undersides, eaves, windows and doors need to be replaced,” he said. “Hail can damage the roof and siding. People are concerned about the physical damage it causes.”
The company’s inspections are free of charge.
He said potential customers should have confidence in Eureka Contracting and Roofing.
“We are on site and have the license and insurance to protect your property,” Hinkson said. “We have $1 million in liability, $1 million in workers’ compensation and a $2 million grand total.
“We have a five-star online rating and an A-Plus rating from the BBB (Better Business Bureau),” he said.
