PJ Fitzpatrick LLC, which specializes in repairing and replacing roofs, windows, doors, gutters, baths and showers in residential homes, has selected Bowie’s Melford Town Center as the location for its first entry into the Maryland marketplace, company officials said announced on Friday.

The Delaware-based company has signed a lease with Baltimore-based St. John Properties, Inc. for 12,176 square feet at 5061 Howerton Way, with plans to begin operations this month. PJ Fitzpatrick’s Prince George’s County workforce is expected to total approximately 65 employees. Mike White of St. John Properties represented the landlord and Ned Brady and Eric Skogmo of Lee & Associates | Maryland represented the client in this rental transaction.

5061 Howerton Way is a one story building with 34,560 square feet of flexible/R&D space. Featuring 18-foot ceilings, the building received LEED Gold certification from the US Green Building Council. This design helps tenants meet their environmental goals, attract and retain employees, and reduce building operating costs. Nearly 60,000 people live within a five mile radius of the business world and have an average household income in excess of $170,000.

In addition to its headquarters in New Castle, Delaware, PJ Fitzpatrick currently operates three offices in Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and in Fairfield, New Jersey. The new Bowie location was selected to serve residential customers throughout central Maryland, Washington and portions of Northern Virginia. The company is currently working with customers in the Maryland area using service technicians at its Harrisburg location. Established in 1980, PJ Fitzpatrick also does home insulation and siding replacement and installation.
