Currey on Friday’s race at Nashville Superspeedway: “Man, today was exactly what this team needed. WWEXRacing/Unishippers Silverado was incredibly fast and it showed in how well we qualified and ran in the race. I’ve never seen a race like this where we fought at the front for the entire length of the race. I’m so proud of this team because it’s the kind of finishes it deserves. I’m just blessed to have the opportunity to drive these trucks and grateful to everyone who makes it possible.”

Race review: From his career-best starting place to his second top-five finish of the season, Bayley Currey had a career night out at Music City. The Texas-born rider rode in the top five for most of the Rackley Roofing 200, earning stage points on each stage with a 3rd and 8th place finish in Stages 1 and 2 respectively.

While the battle at the top was tough over long green flag runs, the game was interrupted several times throughout the night by bookings to develop interesting strategies in the field. A warning ten laps from the end of the race gave crew chief Mike Hillman Jr. an opportunity to pit the No. 41 Silverado for tire picks.

Although this move didn’t result in a win, Currey managed to maneuver his truck into the top five and finished fifth. his second top five finish in four starts this season. With that fifth place, Currey helped the number 41 move up to 14th in the owner’s championship with three races to go in the regular season.
