…HARD FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CST
WEDNESDAY…

* WHAT…Sub-freezing temperatures in the teens, except 20 to 25
degrees along the immediate coast.

* WHERE…Portions of central, south central, southwest and west
central Louisiana and southeast Texas.

* WHEN…Until 10 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

…WIND CHILL ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CST WEDNESDAY…

* WHAT…Very cold wind chills. Wind chills from 10 to 13 above
zero.

* WHERE…Portions of central, south central, southwest and west
central Louisiana and southeast Texas.

* WHEN…Until 7 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if
precautions are not taken.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…For coastal parishes and counties,
locations closest to the immediate coast will likely not
experience wind chills at or below the advisory criteria.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
